BORNOVA Belediyespor probably facing the hardest days ever in the league. The issue is not only losing four games in a row, Izmir team also fighting against injuries and leavings due to mack of performance. The nightmare of Bornova started with injury of tems star forward Tyler Smith (201-F-86, college: Tennessee) at Galatasaray Cafe Crown game. Smith, who is averaging 18.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists so far, had an injury which would keep him out of action for 4 weeks. Efes Pilsen, Mersin BSB and Turk Telekom defeats followed this as Bornova looked like a plane without wings with the loss of Tyler Smith. Club decided to part ways with American center Torin Francis (210-F-83, college: Notre Dame) who has been playing below his capacity, and the second shocking news came from rookie guard Michael Roll (196-G-87, college: UCLA) . Roll had a cyst very close to his throat which has been growing up and immediately flied back to USA to see his doctor. So without Smith, Francis and Roll, Bornova who has Tomas Nagys (209-F/C-80, college: Clemson) as their only foreigner in the roster will face top-flight Banvit on the away game this sunday. If Izmir team would not take an action in transfer market, last years big success of Play-Off will fly away so the relegation danger will come closer.
