Grandslam Track Kingston
Gebreselama/Taye 2 (3000 K) @ 2.01 STSbet
Kerley/Seville 2 (100 M) @ 2.38 STSbet
Richards/Bailey 2 (400 M) @ 1.94 STSbet
I am on skiing vacation in Italy, but due to popular demand I will give you some bets that I like. It is extremely early in season and nobody expect athletes know what form they are in, so keep stakes smaller than usual. GrandSlam Track is a new competition format and I am looking forward how it will play out. The most important thing in 800m+ events is that there is no pacemaker unlike in Diamond League or other meetings, so I expect many races to be rather slow timewise and athletes with better finish will have an edge over those who like to run fast. Both Gebreselama and Taye would like a faster race, but still I see Taye as better finisher than Gebreselama. The meeting is being hold in Kingston Jamaica and Seville is a outsider against Kerley? The Jamaican has very bad recovery so he blew out in the Olympic final when he dominated his run in semifinal. Kerley is quite the opposite, he always improves in championship through rounds and he had perfect start in the final, otherwise he would not get a medal. I expect Seville to win this one. Richards is a unknown and Bailey shown terrific form in the indoor season and indoor track does not really suit him because he has slow 200m and very strong finish. From what I have seen, I think he could have a breaktrough season this year and go under 44.00 as the season goes by and potentially grab a medal in Tokyo in September.
