Bottazzo had swim of her life yesterday in semifinal, I simply dont believe she is able to replicate it and Russian Chikunova is a 200m specialist, she should go slightly faster in final which should be enough to beat Italian. Ruck should be good enough to finish 4th, Chinese Peng swam a PB in semi and I dont think she can go faster unlike Ruck. Kirpichnikova was absolutely dead after heat yesterday, I would not be surprised if she is a DNS today but if she starts she is not swimming under 15:50, Bingjie has unreal form and could threaten podium. Pallister did not use legs in heats and still swam a fast time, i think she is going 15:38-15:39 today in final and Quadarella cannot match that. Berkoff was unhappy with her semifinal but she should be better in final, Masse is experienced veteran but it would surprise me if she got bronze today against American.

Mertens is in good form and I expect him to challenge for a medal, Wiffen had illness in the last weeks and he visibly struggled in heats, I dont believe he is able to go for a top time. Kharun is a level above Forster this should be a no brainer. Chen had two good swims yesterday and should beat Italian who has medley semifinals 40 minutes after this final so when he sees that medal is not possible he could not go 100%. Perkins should be going for a bronze medal against Seemanova and Fairweather, Gemmell is good but her last 50 is very weak so Perkins should surpass her if she is in striking distance. Also CHN/AUS 1 in relay if you want something more, Australia is not using Mckeown or Temple so they are not going to medal, China is clear gold medal favourite.

Kos was clearly in the lead at 150m in semi and controlled his promotion, he is a dark horse for a medal today if Casas or Scott have a bad swim. China is clear bronze medal favourite, Canada could bring McIntosh and Harvey but McIntosh could be rested because she has 200m butterfly final earlier in session and 800m tommorrow and Harvey has some shoulder problems. GBR will bring Colbert to replace Hope and that is worth 5 seconds already, Wood also should be able to go faster, Hungarians will swim in the same lineup and i do not see them improving much apart from Abraham.

Hungarians had a relay of their lifes and GBR underperformed heavily on the first two legs, what a joke.

Alexy had great semifinal, but he is very inconsistent and Chalmers is a legend of 100m freestyle finals, he always finds way to win a medal at least and I think this is the day he is finally going sub 47. Klepikova is in terrific form, she took it easy in the heats but she will step on the gas in semis and beat Seemanova who is a 200m specialist. Van Wijk has already been 53.27 in the freestyle relay and she has to be favourite against Vanooterdijk who is not going under 53.50.

Yeah Popovici looks very good but it is open, this discipline historically had many surprises. Kornev will definitely go extremely fast in the first 50m and then it is question wheter he can hold of charging Popovici and Chalmers, he could medal but he could also finish last if he dies in the last 20 metres. Grousset has great form but i cannot see he going under 47, but if the final is slow he could challenge for a medal but it is not worth playing in my opinion.

Terrible offer once again. Huske was sick and her perfomances are weak, but she is a racer and will want some redemption today, Klepikova already swam big PB yesterday in semis and i dont believe she can go sub53. Tierney swam two big PBs yesterday, I think he will not improve today, Siskos has a potential to go under 1:55. Also if you have Unibet or some other site offering odds for win/top3, i would recommend both Russians in breaststroke, they are 34/5,50 (Prigoda) and 67/8,50 (Zhigalov) which are insane odds because the field is extremely balanced and I think anyone can win.

Have to play these odds. Italians will bring Ceccon and Dambrosio in squad so they should be faster, GBR already swam with the best squad in heats. Chinese women will swap all 4 swimmers and should easily win bronze medal, Canada do not have quality breaststroker and butterflier to match Chinese. Matsushita looked comfortable in heats, I think he will finish second behind Marchand, Nishikawa will be fighting for bronze against Borodin and maybe Litchfield. Forrester controlled her heats, I think she has more in the tank for final. Kobori swam all out, she should not improve in the final.
